LEGAL DISCLAIMER

California State law prohibits certain types of firearms. Semi-automatic, center fire rifles with a detachable magazine cannot have any one of the following features

 

(PC 12276.1).

 

– Pistol Grip
– Flash Suppressor/Flash Hider
– Vertical Fore Grip/Forward Pistol Grip
– Flare or Grenade Launcher
– Collapsible or folding Stock
– Thumbhole Stock

 

If your firearm does not have any of these prohibited features, then you can have a detachable magazine, and therefore use the MRAT-15 on your weapon. The device must be used as a tool, and cannot be left on the weapon. This is to comply with Title 11 California Code of Regulations Section 5469(a) and California Penal Code 12276.1.

 

Leaving the device on the weapon in California may qualify your firearm as an illegal assault weapon under California DOJ regulations.

 

Also Prohibited in California:
-A semiautomatic, center fire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds. MRAT-15 may not be used on magazines with greater than 10  round capacity in California.
-A semi-automatic, center fire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches. MRAT-15 may not used on a center fire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30  inches in California.
